  When JVC launched its new GZ-MC500 Hard Disk Camcorder in May 2005, it deployed an integrated marketing campaign which included an online auctions on Yahoo! Auctions to raise fund for Hong Kong Red Cross, a month long online ad campaign on Yahoo! Hong Kong as well as print and outdoor ad, PR programmes and other below the line promotions such as DM and eDM to raise product awareness and to introduce new trend setting technology of hard disk recording to its core audience who are predominantly male aged 25-45 with high disposable income and a desire for high shooting quality.

The pioneer online campaign has greatly enhanced JVC's brand recognition and product awareness with customers through an interactive channel.
